  • Babia Gora National Park - Babia Gora National Park is situated in the southern part of the country, in the Malopolskie Voivodeship, close to the border with Slovak Republic. It encompasses the northern part of the Babia Góra range with its highest peak, Diablak (1725 m a.s.l). The park area is 3,392 ha, including 3,198 ha of forests. 1,062 ha are placed under strict protection.
  • Bialowieza National Park - Bialowieza National Park is located in the eastern part of Poland, in Podlaskie Voivodeship, at the border with Belorussia. The Park lies in the central part of Bialowieza Primeval Forest, which is the most natural forest complex in the lowland part of Europe. The Park area (enlarged in 1996 by over 5 thousand ha) is 10,502 ha, while the oldest part, "Strict Preservation" (Rezerwat Scisly) occupies 4,747 ha. The Park is dominated by forest ecosystems which take up over 90% of its area.
  • Biebrza National Park - The Biebrza National Park is located in the north-east Poland, in Podlaskie Voivodeship. The north - eastern border is situated close to the Belarus border and at the south, the park is contoured by the Narew and Biebrza river confluence. It was established in 1993 and with total area of 59,223 ha is the largest among Polish national parks. The Park area includes 5075 ha under the strict protection.
  • Bieszczady National Park - Bieszczady National Park is the third largest national park in Poland. It is located in the far south-east, in Podkarpackie Voivodeship, at the borders with the Slovak Republic and Ukraine.
  • Bory Tucholskie National Park - Bory Tucholskie National Park was established on 1 July 1996, on the area of 4,789 ha. At present the Park covers 4798 ha. It is located in the central-north part of Poland, in Pomorskie Voivodeship, within the Polish largest forest complex - Bory Tucholskie. The Park encompasses a part of the Zaborski Landscape Park that was established in 1990 to protect the outstanding natural and cultural features of the southern part of Kaszuby, the Land of Zaborow (Ziemia Zaborowska).
  • Drawa National Park - Drawa National Park lies in the central-west Poland, on the border between following voivodeships: Zachodniopomorskie, Lubuskie and Wielkopolskie. The Park is a part of the forest complex - Drawa Primeval Forest, situated in Mysliborz-Walcz Lake District. The area of the Park stretches from the point where the Drawa river leaves Dubie Lake (Adamowo) in the north, to Stare Osiecze in the south. The Park was established in 1990, over the area of 8,691 ha.
  • Gorce National Park - Gorce National Park covers the central and north-east part of the Gorce range, with its highest peak Jaworzyna Kamienicka(1,288 m a.s.l.). It is located in the southern part of Poland, in Malopolskie Voivodeship. The Park was established in 1981 over the area of 5,926 ha. Beginnings of nature conservation measures in this area go back to 1927 when "Wladyslaw Orkan" nature reserve was created on Turbacz, within the land of count Ludwik Wodzicki from Poreba Wielka.
  • Gory Stolowe National Park - The Gory Stolowe National Park covers the Polish part of the Stolowe Mountains, which belong the Middle Sudety range. The Park is located in the south-western Poland, in Dolnoslaskie Voivodeship, on the border with the Czech Republic and was established in 1993. Its area is 6,339 ha, out of which 5,779 ha are covered by forests. 376 ha of the park's area is strictly protected.
  • Kampinos National Park - Kampinos National Park is situated in Mazowieckie Voivodeship, north-west of the neighbouring city of Warsaw. It occupies a part of the Vistula proglacial valley in the Warsaw Basin with a large forest complex - Kampinos Primeval Forests. The idea of a national park establishment emerged in the 20-ties. In the 30-ties, the first nature reserves were established, e.g. Granica, Sierakow, Zamczysko, which now have an enlarged area and are strictly protected.
  • Karkonosze National Park - The Karkonosze National Park is located within the Dolnoslaskie Voivodeship, in the south-western Poland on the border with the Czech Republic. The Park was established in 1959 to include an area of 5,510 ha. The present area of the Park covers 5,576 ha out of which 3,828 ha are forests and 1,718 ha are full protection areas. Since 1992 the Karkonosze National Park has been included into the Bilateral Biosphere Reserve Karkonosze/Krkonoše (MaB) which covers over 60,000 ha.
