Trip Planning Log

10-15-03 - Started planning a rough outline of the trip, researching ideas, figuring out where & when to go.

12-4-03 - Started gathering maps, planning an exact route, deciding on equipment.

1-14-04 - Added details online.

2-7-04 - Starting to contact sponsors for equipment for the trip.

5-8-04 - Finalizing gear lists & searching for sponsors... good luck so far! Obtaining all maps. Sending inquiry letters to media outlets. Also saving money for the trip & to cover the bills while gone. Have been in contact with many people that have paddled parts and all of the river, adjusting packlist according to their suggestions. Strength training and paddling hard long stretches to build up muscles to look good going down the river ... lol :)

5-11-04 - All thats left is to pick out a kayak! Going to inquire with virtually all touring kayak manufacturers and see the interest! Hopefully get some good news. If not, I'll pick up a used touring kayak and be rarin' to go!
