The Blue Ridge Parkway is one of America's classic scenic drives in the east. Driving this 469 mile stretch of tarmac in the fall season is quite the spectacle. The colors are simply stunning. Plan to spend atleast two days to drive the entire length... a trip well worth it. There are many opportunities along the Blue Ridge Parkway for camping, RV's, and lodging.

at almost 5,000 feet elevation. Formerly part of the Vanderbilt Estate and
near the US Forest Service's Cradle of Forestry site.
