Much thanks to all of our sponsors!

US Outdoor Store in Portland, Oregon
US Outdoor Store!
Thanks to our newest sponsor! One of the finest places to buy gear in the country, based out of Portland, Oregon.

R&S Tactical Gear
Thanks to Mike for giving us the ultimate camo for wildlife photos (and super cover from the railroad bulls!!)

Thanks again to Mike for the no b.s. knife!

Acratech, Inc
Thanks Scott for providing us pro-quality ballheads & camera plates! They are totally cool, and so easy to keep clean compared to any of the other 'pro' ballheads!

Scott has also provided us with a new SLIK carbon fiber tripod! Coupled with the Acratech ballhead, the weight savings is unbelievable!

Jobu-Design
Thanks to Ian for the fantastic gimbal tripod head! This tripod head is a total ROCK and is the strongest out there... not to mention the lightest! In my opinion, it blows away the Wimberly head, the RIES head, and all the rest.

Sponsors are welcome to help with the following trips:

For 2004, I will be kayaking the entire 2,500 miles of the Mississippi River, from headwaters to the Gulf of Mexico. From there, I'll be attempting to continue skirting the Gulf of Mexico along Florida down to Key West. The first leg of the trip should take roughly 8-10 weeks, mainly depending on weather. The 2nd leg of the trip hasn't been done that often, and I've been unable to find any previous accounts of how long it will take. The bulk of the 2nd leg will be kept quite close to shore, no more than a mile out. I estimate 12-14 weeks to reach the keys. Due to the nature of the Florida Coast, camping & sleeping could be sketchy in spots, but that won't stop us :) Click here for information & details.

We are also kayaking many creeks and rivers in Western North Carolina this year, as well as hiking all the trails on the Blue Ridge Parkway motor road. We will have detailed reports for every trip, and sponsors will get premire banner spots on every page!

Without the help of sponsors, this site, and our trips wouldn't be possible. If you have something you'd like to contribute, please let me know!

Please contact me if you have any questions, comments, or have any info that could help out :) Or discuss it on the message boards.
