Description:

The Mountain Farm Trail is a self-guiding trail that meanders by a reconstructed farmstead, typical of early mountain settlements in the Appalachian Mountains. During summer months, volunteers on the Blue Ridge Parkway offer living history demonstrations. These are wonderful!

Beautiful cabins and old 19th century pioneer structures.

Directions to Trailhead:

From Front Royal, Virginia: The Mountain Farm Trail is located at milepost 5.9 on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The trail begins at the Humpback Visitor Center.
